I recently had the pleasure of attending an incredible styled shoot event hosted by @atxcontentdays, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of extraordinary! The event took place in the vibrant cities of Austin and San Marcos, Texas, and was co-hosted by the talented photographers @samanthayorkphoto and @aubryalyssephotography. The day was packed with three unique and stunning styled shoots. The first photoshoot of the day, titled “Italy at Home,” was set in a cozy and welcoming Airbnb located in the heart of Austin.

The models chosen for the shoot were none other than Amelia and Austin, a stunningly beautiful married couple that radiated love and warmth. They played the perfect hosts in this Italian-themed setup. First, the scene was carefully planned to reflect a homely and intimate environment. Then, board games were scattered around, an indication of a fun, playful evening. Accompanying this was the irresistible aroma of homemade pizza, a staple in any Italian household. Then, to complete the setting, a bottle of fine wine sat gracefully on the table, promising a relaxed, intimate night in. The entire setup was a perfect depiction of a laid-back, enjoyable, and intimate Italian night at home.

Styled Shoots Are Great For Your Portfolio

The following session on our agenda was none other than the “Coastal Cowgirl” shoot. This unique photoshoot was set against the backdrop of the beautiful Windemere Farms, located in the quaint town of San Marcos. Our stunning model for this shoot, Carlee, embodied the theme. Additionally, she managed to have a harmonious balance between the serenity often associated with the coast and the rugged charm of the countryside. The shoot was an infusion of various elements, complete with stunning horses, rustic straw hats, and delicate seashells. Each addition was curated to create an idyllic atmosphere. Therefore, the merging of these contrasting themes resulted in beautiful photos, a reflection to the versatile beauty of both the coast and the countryside.

The day wrapped up with the final shoot, titled “Vintage Bride,” which was also set in the stunning surroundings of Windemere Farms. This was the most extensive shoot of the day, featuring the lovely couple, Claire and Hunter, who added a unique beauty to the session. The vibe was romantic and nostalgic. Some elements that I loved and that enhanced this shoot include a vintage car, that provided a classic touch, lush floral arrangements that added some vibrant colors, and a beautifully set tablescape that was nothing short of inviting. Therefore, these elements combined to create the perfect setting for what one would imagine to be a dreamy elopement.

Now, you might be wondering, why styled shoots? Well, I can’t emphasize enough how beneficial they are! They not only elevate your portfolio but also open doors to a world of creativity and uniqueness. They offer an excellent opportunity to showcase your capabilities as a photographer and help attract clients who appreciate your unique photography style. Moreover, styled shoots are a fantastic way to connect with other photographers! It’s an amazing feeling to be in the company of like-minded people who share the same passion. Therefore, let’s not forget the fun – a whole day of shooting is always a blast! If you want to learn more about me and what I do head to my, about me page!
